What is the Role?
The Executive - Dairy Development plays a key role in strengthening Pelwatte Dairy's milk supply network by supporting farmers, improving field operations, and ensuring the consistent collection of high-quality milk. This role involves coordinating with dairy farmers, collection centers, and internal teams to implement development initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and implement dairy development initiatives to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality milk.
- Coordinate farmer engagement programs and milk collection processes.
- Provide technical guidance and training to dairy farmers to uplift productivity and quality.
- Work closely with Dairy Development Officers, Extension Officers, and milk collection centers.
- Monitor field operations, ensure compliance with quality standards, and support procurement optimization.
- Act as the operational link between farmers, collection centers, and the corporate office.
What Knowledge and Skills are Expected in an Ideal Candidate?
- BSc Degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in dairy development, agriculture, or a relevant industry.
- Knowledge of milk supply chain, farmer development, and field operations.
This position is based at the Corporate Office in Colombo 03. This role requires regular field visits to dairy farmers and milk collection centers.
